I have a bad feeling my sister is going to vote for this guy. Talk radio + die hard/pro Bush republican boyfriend (aside from that he's a pretty great guy)and all she gets are the lies or smears about other candidates, taking them for truth. Fortunately some lies have been cleared up. I don't think she has time to watch Fox news, so that helps some.

As for myself, the more I listen to McCain speak and debate, the less certain I am that he is capable of either. When he talks impromptu, it's like he only knows how to use the rehearsed lines and opinions of whoever writes his speeches. McCaine also seems incapable of giving a straight answer for anything that puts him "on the spot" or uncomfortable (admittedly, a trait all politicians have). I don't think McCain could persuade the senate to take a 25% pay raise, much less push an important bill that has resistance.

The more I see of McCain, it leads me to believe hes a terrible, terrible candidate, and that not just because I think the neo-Republicans are satans scum sent to destroy the earth, they are, but just because he's so damn terrible at being a candidate. I mean, seriously, he's worse than Bush. You can say alot of bad stuff about Bush, but he's got a likable personality, he looks like a guy people trust and that shit, and so people like him. Whats to like about McCain?, his POW status? And Bush knows how to dodge questions and lie, this guy has no idea. He looks like a clueless old guy who simply says what he has been told to say "If you get any vet-related Q's, just pull the one about you being popular among vets!" and he's doing that IN RESPONSE TO A FUCKING VET WHO DISLIKES HIM, WHAT THE FUCK??!

It reminds me when we had media-class in fourth grade and we went to the local factory, and all the questions we had prepared was answered by the guy before the interview. We asked them all anyway. And we had no follow-up questions.
